Tammy and Luke explore and review the 2018 National Theatre production of Shakespeare's Antony and Cleopatra.
EPISODE NOTES: One of the things that has really kept theatre front of mind for people and provided entertainment to help in these dark times has been theatre companies releasing recordings of their shows online, and one of the first to start doing this was the UK’s National Theatre, who have for years been releasing recordings of their shows to cinemas. Every week, they’ve uploaded a new show to YouTube, and last week’s show was this 2018 production of Antony and Cleopatra, so we decided that would be the show we’d do.
Theatre companies all around the world are doing it incredibly tough at the moment, and these releases are an amazing act of generosity, so if you can, and only if you can, please donate either directly to theatre companies or to charitable organisations that are helping out with artists who have lost their jobs.
