Content Warning: Discussion of suicide and mental health

Hello everyone! Today we're revisited by our first ever guest Kelsey! Kelsey is back with a change in uni course and with a host of new topics to talk to us about. This episode we talk about the Gar'ban'djee'lum Network and Indigilez, two indiginous support networks, and the recent National Suicide Prevention campaign they have launched, called Yarn's Heal. Take a listen and enjoy the insight.

For those who don't know, "Sistergirl" and "Brotherboy" are  terms used for transgender people within some Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander communities. Sistergirls and Brotherboys have distinct cultural identities and roles. Sistergirls are Indigenous women who were classified male at birth but live their lives as women, including taking on traditional cultural female practices. Brotherboys are Indigenous transgender people, whose bodies were considered female at birth but "choose to live their lives as male, regardless of which stage/path medically they choose."
