Hello our dear audience, today we talk to a listener and friend, Dana! Dana is a UQ graduate and teacher who has come to talk to us about queerness in the workspace, and what influenced her to begin teaching. Dana talks about her teaching philosophy, which is focused on providing students in vulnerable positions a place of support and safety, hoping to make things easier to handle. She also gives us some insight into the benefits of joining a union for your job, especially from a queer perspective, and job security.
Talking points – lesbianism, fem/butch, feminism, the SCUM manifesto, safety in school
